Round Up
Hootie Homegrown Round Up
In addition to supporting public education issues in SC through the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation, the band embarked on several Homegrown Concert Tours. Ticket holders to all shows were encouraged to bring school supplies that were re-distributed back to the community schools. The exuberant success of their efforts gave rise to the annual Hootie's Homegrown Roundup program which has helped over 5,000 children to date.

Now approaching its 7th year in existence, Hootie's Homegrown Roundup: Back to Basics is a back to school program benefiting the children of Charleston County School District. Each August, to prepare for the upcoming school year, thousands of underprivileged students receive dental exams, haircuts, a backpack full of school supplies and a day full of fun.

In addition to the Roundup, Hootie & the Blowfish also host a two-day Homegrown celebration surrounding the event. On the Family Circle Cup stage, Darius, Mark, Soni and Dean gather together with outstanding supporting acts to jam and have fun with fans.
